PM meets new Ambassador to Portugal

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Levan Tsurtsumia, Georgia’s newly appointed Ambassador to the Portuguese Republic, the Government Administration reported. The relations between Georgia and Portugal and prospects of future cooperation were discussed at the meeting. The Head of Government congratulated Levan Tsurtsumia on his appointment to a new position and wished him success in his endeavors. For years, Levan Tsurtsumia worked at the Foreign Ministry, holding at different times the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at the Georgian Embassy in Ukraine and the Permanent Mission of Georgia to GUAM. He has also served as Deputy Director of the International Legal Department, as well as Department Director at the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
